                                     2008-2010 GFWC MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

 

     Working Together ... We Can Do It!

 OBJECTIVE:  Assist states, districts and clubs with all aspects of membership to ensure the future of the organization.
                      Promote membership strategic planning on all levels of Federation with goals and action plans to:

 Retain Newly Recruited and Current Members

·     Use a Big Sister or Federation Friend to mentor new members within club.

·     Conduct a Member Orientation or refresher course each year.  Show the GFWC DVD.

Renew Federation Enthusiasm and Pride

·    Celebrate Federation Awareness Day.

·    Encourage member attendance at district and state activities by holding Dollars for Delegates projects to help with expenses.

·    Check out the new GFWC 25 year sliver pin for $5.00. GFWC has just introduced a new 25 year sliver pin for $5.00 that will be a GREAT NEW way for clubs to recognize hard working dedicated members (retain) or for the member themselves to show that  Federation Pride. The Gold pins are still much in demand and they are free for a new 50 year member and $5.00 if a 50 year gold card recipient wants a pin too.

Recruit New Members

·    GFWC will still be having ACT in OCT and the goal will be:

                  * FOUR More Would Be GREAT in October ‘08

                  * FIVE More Would Be DIVINE in October ’09.

      -  GFWC will continue the Star Awards for recruiting members.

      -  Emphasize using Membership Matters.

Rebuild by Starting New Clubs

      -  GFWC West Virginia will be looking at membership in the areas of retention and re-federating clubs. 

     -   Districts are asked to set a goal of one new club per district.
